A Life of Service, Storytelling, and Legacy
Meet Perry, Writer behind “Lincoln’s Double”
Born in 1946 in Winter Haven, Florida, Perry’s life is a testament to resilience, dedication, and purpose. Raised in a large family with deep roots and powerful stories, he grew up hearing tales of his grandfather’s experiences during the Civil War, stories that would later inspire his writing.
At just 18, Perry joined the Air Force and served his country with honor for 20 years, including time in Vietnam. His service took him across the world, sparking a lifelong love for travel and discovery.
After retiring from the military in 1984, Perry continued working, eventually building and running his own business until the age of 77. But retirement didn’t slow him down; it opened a new chapter. Encouraged by memory and legacy, Perry turned to writing to preserve the stories passed down through generations. His debut novel is not just fiction; it’s a tribute to family history, faith, and the enduring human spirit. Married to his wife Connie for over 46 years, Perry is a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Whether golfing, bowling, or writing, he continues to live life with passion and purpose.
